A natural, stone-like look from the slab itself.
Light honing or deeper grinding exposes fine or coarse aggregate for a matte, natural look with a sealed, easy-care surface.
- Depth: Cream to full exposed aggregate
- Sheen: Matte to satin
- Fill: Pinholes filled before sealing

What it is, and why it matters.
Not every concrete floor needs a mirror shine. A honed finish stops short of a high gloss and leaves a soft, matte or satin surface. Grinding deeper exposes the stones in the mix, which gives a terrazzo-like look in some slabs.
We hone and expose aggregate in homes, restaurants and shops across Tennessee, including Nashville interiors. We grind to the depth you want, repair and fill pinholes, densify and seal. The finish is a natural, lower-sheen alternative to polishing that is also friendly to slip resistance.

Honed and Exposed Aggregate Finishes: common questions
Will exposed aggregate look the same everywhere?
No. It depends on the mix and the slab, which is why we show test patches before committing.
Is a honed floor easier to maintain than a polished one?
A lower sheen hides scuffs a bit better, and care is similar.
