The overview

What it is, and why it matters.

A stamped overlay is a thin, colored cementitious layer pressed with texture mats while it is workable. It can mimic slate, flagstone, brick and even wood planks. Over a sound slab, it is far less disruptive and costly than removing the concrete and starting again.

We install stamped overlays on patios, walkways, pool decks and driveways across Tennessee, including Nashville outdoor spaces. We repair the existing slab, apply the overlay, add color and release agent, stamp the pattern, then seal. The pattern, color and borders are chosen with you from samples.

Good questions

Stamped Concrete Overlays: common questions

Will cracks come back through?

Existing cracks that are active can telegraph. We repair and sometimes add control cuts, and we explain the risk before starting.

Can any slab take an overlay?

Most sound slabs can. Heavily heaved, sinking or crumbling concrete may need replacement instead.
